00Aid Education in China
00Each year12In
recent years/Recently3, college students, encouraged
(2motivated/inspired by our government) to aid students in poverty-stricken areas,
volunteer themselves in poor villages 12voluntarily go to poor villages3 for a year
and try to improve education in poor areas 12with a view to improving education in
poor areas 2aiming at/ in the hope of improving education in poor areas 3.
Aid-education has been
beneficial in two aspects. On the one hand12For one
thing3, college volunteers have opened the eyes of students in underdeveloped
regions to the outside world by bringing them new knowledge and thoughts. As a
result, they are extremely well-received by 12popular with 3the children there. On
the other hand, college students have received a rigorous training and built up their
characters by adapting to the harsh living conditions.
From my perspective12point
of view3, China’s educational development
can’t be isolated from each individual12The inputs of individuals are indispensible
to the development of China’s educational level3. College students, therefore, should
take the lead 12play a leading role 3 in response to our government’s appeal for
offering aid to children in under-developed areas.
